This application stores antibody panel data for the ABID program and provides a reference guide for performing serologic investigations.

  1. Identify non-reactive rows to establish exclusions.
  2. Cross off antigens that are homozygously expressed on non-reactive cells.
  3. Review positive reactions and look for a pattern using the “rule of three.”
  4. Determine if additional cells are needed to complete the workup.
  5. Check the autocontrol to distinguish allo- from auto-antibodies.
  6. Perform additional tests to confirm antibody specificity.
  7. Report conclusions including clinical significance and transfusion advice.
